    Pros +

    • Location was good. Breakfast was very basic. Room was small with inadequate space to put up our luggage. Wardrobe was small with non functional clothes hangers. The online picture wrongly depicts the sit out and verandah as part of the room whereas it was a common area. Entrance access and floors very uneven and not good for people with leg problems. Staff were helpful but communication in English restricted to few staff members only. We cut short our visit as the conditions were not very conducive for a longer stay.
    • Such a chill vibe and everything is very calm,The staff is super friendly and the property is clean and designed so well.
    • Amata Lanna was the most beautiful little boutique hotel. I loved the location cleanliness and especially the staff and their friendly cat Lucky

    Cons -

    • Stair steps were high. Bathroom had a huge bathtub which I don't know how many would use. Lighting in the room was very dim. Some mosquitoes were also flying around at night so had to keep the lights on. The shower water pressure was erratic and would increase or decrease at will.
    • I Liked everything!
    • Nothing to dislike but pool area was quite limited for laying down and relaxing.

This hotel is such a gem. The rooms and grounds are elegant in an old Thai style centered around a lovely pool. The kind staff is the best thing about this hotel. Breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable. All of this makes it a great value.

The style and decoration, clean and comfortable. Staff was kind.

The dinning space is kind of small.

Despite the hotel, not being in the main city area, I quite liked being able to walk around the outskirts. Went to the night market a few times because of the convenience of location. You can definitely find amazing massages and great coffee shops nearby! Customer service is outstanding. Sweetest people I had a hard time leaving!

Wonderful small size boutique hotel with pool in the middle, and a tuk tuk away to the walled Old city. Quiet street.

Not in an animated street which is in a way a quieter place

Amata Lanna was amazing! Lounging around the pool with free tea was incredible. Our villa was super spacious, had laundry, and had an entire kitchen. The decor was super fun too.

Wonderful ambiance. Beautiful grounds. Rooms old Lanna style furnishings

Bed and pillows typical of Thai hotels. Very hard. Unfortunately I have a back that requires a softer sleeping situation

Beautiful colonial building with lovely large rooms. Very friendly staff and great breakfast prepared on the spot. They also have a tiny baby cat which was super friendly and lovely to play with.

We had booked the room with the spa bath but the jets were not working. The pool is also in the middle of the courtyard and barely has any sun along the day, so the water remains cold all day long.

The location, staff, breakfast, all very good. They were very very nice and hospitable I particularly liked the location, out of noise but still very close to old town and also night market, river, temples. And they make perfect ice coffee

The balcony in the first floor was not really private, so we hardly could use it. Unfortunately they did not have a room available in the second floor.

    9PallaviPosted on: 4-26-2025

The location, the rooms and the staff were superb.

They don't have food service for lunch or dinner. But it's located really close to the night markets

This was one of the best hotels we experienced on our Thailand trip. All members of the staff are exceptionally kind and warm. It is a boutique hotel with only twelve rooms. Everything is equipped and decorated in Thai traditional furniture and fittings - with so much love to details. At check in Sun gave as an overview over the city and location as well as restaurant recommendations without asking and provided us with a welcome drink. We felt warmly welcomed the first minute. It feels like in an oasis here. I would recommend this boutique hotel to everyone who likes small cozy hotels that keep it simple and put much attention to local traditions.Thank you to everyone at this hotel to make us feel at home and making our last days in Thailand so outstanding.

Nice boutique hotel, rooms were nicely decorated. Good location in town. Nice shady pool area.

Bathrooms could do with Ian update, the grouting was terrible. Also there were only 2 sunbeds by the pool. I get it’s a small area, but during the day a couple of the tables could be moved to accommodate for a few more sunbeds.

We loved the room, very comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious. Location is good, 10min walk to night Market, 10min drive to temples. Overall great place, highly recommended. Staff was very helpful.

Wifi was very spotty, only issue during our stay.

Breakfast was great, beautiful garden, very friendly and helpful personal, one of the best espressos ever! Thank you for a very nice stay

Pool small, w lan in the rooms relatively poor

this was the best hotel I stayed in whilst I was in Thailand. First off, the staff is SO amazing and nice. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Next, the breakfast is so fire! Loved it! The rooms! WOW, so comfortable and amazing. Loved everything about this place and would definitely stay here again!

there was nothing I didn’t like.
